Better Problems

A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor (or surfer).

Good problems to have in voiceover include:

1. Getting a callback.
2. Getting lots of auditions.
3. Clients that want the job done TODAY.
4. Having too many jobs at the same time.
5. NEVER being able to share a job because it's proprietary info.
6. A job that's under NDA that you reaaallly want to talk about, but the release date is a moving target.

When I first started in voiceover, I was grateful to get 2 or 3 auditions a week. Because I wasn't getting that many at-bats for on-camera, so it felt like a lot more opportunity.

Now, if I'm not doing 5-10 auditions a DAY, I'm slacking.

Wishing these problems away would be wishing away my success.

And I DON'T want that.

Good problems challenge us to become stronger. To do better.
